Last week, I was casually using my phone when I suddenly got a notification One UI 7 update available. As soon as I saw “Samsung's new update”. I downloaded it right away. After using it for a few days, I must say the experience feels quite different. So here I am sharing my honest thoughts in simple words.
1. Look and Feel: Cleaner and Smoother
Right after the update, I noticed a small but nice change in the interface. The icons look slightly different but they’re easy on the eyes. Animations feel smoother and apps open without delay. The phone just feels more fluid and responsive overall.
2. Galaxy AI: A Small Phone with a Smart Brain
Editing photos is now more fun. There’s this new tool called "Generative Edit" that lets you remove unwanted objects with just one tap. And the coolest part is the "Live Translate" feature. I tested it during a call—it instantly translates what the other person is saying in real time. Pretty impressive!
3. Writing Assistant: Say Goodbye to Typing Stress
Sometimes, writing messages can be tricky—especially if you want to sound polite or professional. The new "Writing Assist" tool suggests better words and fixes your tone. I’ve found it really helpful especially for work-related texts.
4. Performance: Feels Faster Than Before
Earlier, some apps used to take a bit of time to open. Not anymore. Everything opens faster and even while multitasking the phone doesn’t lag. Samsung has clearly optimized things under the hood.
Final Thoughts
To sum it up, the One UI 7 update has made the Galaxy S24 feel cleaner, quicker and smarter. It’s not a complete overhaul but it definitely brings useful improvements. If you haven’t updated yet, go for it—you won’t regret it.
